The Mandible: of a Muskrat

I live not far from the beautiful Willamette River, and sometimes I find great gems along it's banks after the water levels drop. I found this lone mandible suck in the dark rich muck under speckled light cast by a big tree branch. I never get tired of finding this sort of wild treat. I hope to some day find a great nutria skull.

This item can sit independently on a shelf or table space, or be hung on a wall by the hardware on the back.

Note: Dry preserved organic materials should be displayed in a space with reduced exposure to direct sunlight to prevent discoloration over time. It is also advised to avoid display this type of item away from sources of steam or condensation such as bathrooms or kitchens. Moisture can reactivate the decaying process in all organic materials.
